The patient was referred to correct the exposure of the upper right central implant, which was an immediate placement. It had been placed too far buccally in the existing extraction socket. Two months later, the buccal alveolar plate resorbed and the cover screw became exposed.
Corrective surgery involved a connective tissue graft from the palate with the aim of submerging the implant and providing thicker soft tissue. Final impressions were taken 4 months later-the emergence profile being much improved.
